Help & Support
Truva is made by a very small team. There is no ticket queue and no bot. Mail goes to a person, and we read all of it.
Email us: hello@truva.care
We aim to reply within two working days. If you are writing about your account, please send it from the address you signed up with. That is how we check the request is yours before we touch anything.
Your subscription
How do I cancel?
Through Apple, not through us. On your iPhone open Settings, tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions, and choose Truva. You can also go straight to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.
Cancel at least 24 hours before your period ends, or Apple will have already charged the next one. You keep access until the period you have paid for runs out.
I deleted the app (or my Truva account). Did that cancel my subscription?
No. This catches people out and it is worth being blunt about: billing lives on your Apple Account, not in Truva, so removing the app or deleting your Truva account does not stop it. Cancel it in your Apple settings using the steps above.
I want a refund.
Apple handles every refund for purchases made through the App Store, and the decision is theirs rather than ours. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in the app went wrong, tell us as well. We would rather fix it than have you go through that.
I paid, but the app still says I’m on the free tier.
First, open Settings in the app and tap Restore purchases. That is also the fix if you bought Truva Pro on another device or before reinstalling. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you paid with. A purchase belongs to the Apple Account that made it.
If it still shows the wrong thing after that, email us with the date of the purchase and we will sort it out.
What is the difference between the plans?
Truva is free to use with one product check a day. Truva Pro removes that limit and adds label scanning. It comes as a monthly subscription, which renews until you cancel, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase, which does not renew and has nothing to cancel.
Your account and your data
How do I delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and choose to delete your account. That removes your account, your health profile and your sign-in data, and we tell our analytics provider to delete what it holds against you. Remember to cancel your subscription separately if you have one. See above.
Can I change my conditions or life stage later?
Yes, in Settings. Your results are recomputed against whatever your profile says now, so keep it current. A stale due date will have Truva assessing products against the wrong stage.
I want to withdraw consent for my health information.
Email hello@truva.care, or delete your account in Settings. Either one stops us processing it and has it deleted. Personalised results stop working at that point, because that information is what makes them yours.
What do you do with my health information?
We use it to compute your results, and that is all. We do not sell personal information, do not share it for advertising, and do not use it to train scoring models or for research. The Privacy Policy sets out the whole of it, including the processors involved and the rights you have.
I can’t sign in.
Truva uses Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google, so there is no Truva password to reset. The problem is nearly always on that side. Check you are choosing the same provider you originally signed up with. If you used Apple’s “Hide My Email”, your account is tied to the private relay address rather than your real one. Still stuck, email us.
Results and ingredients
A product I own isn’t in Truva.
Scan the ingredients label directly. That works whether or not the product is in our catalogue. You can also submit the product so we can add it. Submissions are reviewed by a person before they become visible to anyone else, so it is not instant.
Truva won’t give me a verdict on something.
That is deliberate rather than broken. When we do not have enough on a product’s ingredients to judge it for your profile, Truva says so instead of showing you a green badge it cannot stand behind. A missing answer makes you look closer; a wrong reassurance stops you looking at all. Tell us which product it was and we will work on the gap.
I think a verdict is wrong.
Please write to us, and include the product and what you expected. Ingredient data can be incomplete or out of date, and formulations change without notice, so this is genuinely useful and not a complaint we mind receiving.
Why did my friend get a different answer for the same product?
Because the answer is computed for the person asking. Results depend on your conditions, your stage, and the strictness you have set, and two people can get different, correct answers from the same bottle.
One thing we will not help with
We cannot give medical advice, and we will not try. Truva is not a medical device and is not a healthcare provider. If you are asking whether something is safe for your particular pregnancy, your medication, or a condition you are managing, that question belongs with your doctor, midwife, dermatologist or pharmacist. Please do not delay asking them because of anything you read in the app or from us.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your doctor or your local emergency number now.

To help us answer in one reply rather than four, say which iPhone and iOS version you are on, what you expected, and what happened instead. A screenshot is worth a paragraph.
